The Pain:
It’s evident, after looking at Summit Software’s history and background that the community is at the forefront of the software companies daily activities. Partnering with Community Based Organizations or CBO’s was an easy decision. Summit has begun developing beta software systems, partnering with other software companies, as well as building a case study to address the technological (infrastructure) needs in the non profit sector. Non-Profit’s today are facing an environment of increased demands and accountability. The typical type of infrastructure in a majority of organizations makes it almost impossible to accurately track the outcomes or keep current records of the individuals served. Different people within each organization have their own lists of information on paper, multiple excel spreadsheets and/or word documents. Some agencies have built their own database which usually does not function properly. The organizations also face the problem of fully utilizing the volunteers that want to help.
The Solution:
Summit’s goal is to help nonprofit organizers find ways to use technology in cost affective ways to meet today’s reporting challenges. Our software is customized for the CBO’s providers, so they can easily organize and track information for services and programs they offer to their clients. The system includes tracking demographics and specific data to measure outcomes. The provider will have access to the software’s reporting functions. Standard reports as well as custom reporting functions are available. The agency will also be able to use the same system to track multiple programs for their clients, combining data complete outcome reporting. The built in added benefit is the ability to share this information with other CBO’s in the network. It is our belief that once we have several agencies working together, reporting joint efforts, sharing resources, thus attracting funders, that other agencies will be encouraged to join the network. We firmly believe this is where the future is leading this industry in our community and others.
