Who We Are
Laurie Kronyak
Founder
Laurie Kronyak first started her business in 1992 by offering basic computer training. Her ability to communicate technological concepts in a way that anyone can understand along with her advanced administrative skills led her to office automation projects and building custom software solutions. Laurie has developed successful long-term relationships with clients.
In 2001, Laurie Seaborn Consulting became Summit Software; a software design company which focuses on building industry specific software applications. Several of these applications were developed and implemented in businesses within the industry.
Summit Software has continued to grow under Laurie's guidance and leadership. Her accomplishments can be attributed to the quality of her work, her upstanding reputation and her belief that building relationships with staff as well as her clients is the key to success.
Laurie enjoys watching her company grow, but even more, her joy comes from working with her staff, interns and virtual team. Laurie believes in practicing "Servant Leadership", if you come on a brainstorming day, you will find Laurie organizing the meeting, preparing the meal and serving her staff, maybe even doing the dishes. You will also find a fun and energetic atmosphere where everyone's input is important and usually is incorporated.
When Laurie is not at Summit, you might find her watching her son Justin play football for the Hoover High School Varsity football team (hopefully sacking the quarterback). Other times she will be enjoying the outdoors; camping, hiking, biking or boating with her husband and their two teenage sons. Laurie also is involved with her church; planning and participating in activities and outreaches that help people find peace, hope and ultimately restoration.
Laurie's passion with our youth speaks for itself; she has been involved in many ways throughout the years. She served on the board and coached soccer for over 10 years and she has ongoing mentoring relationships. Laurie has spent time volunteering for school booster clubs and has spent uncountable hours in the classroom for her own children.
Summit is a reflection of Laurie's interest in our youth; they have worked with students from CART High School, Fresno City College, California State University Fresno as well as referrals from family, friends, clients etc. Summit has worked with well over 30 young minds in the past 6 years, each one learning not only technical skills, but life lessons were included for free.
Laurie's belief is that our youth, at all ages, need love and support from their families as well as from their community. The saying "it takes a village to raise a child" may have been said years ago, but it is relevant in our world today.
Anthony Maciel
Programmer
When an article on Summit Software was published in a local paper, Anthony's mother, (who was employed by the newspaper at the time) met Laurie. During a conversation Anthony's name came up and the fact that he was a brilliant programmer was mentioned. Within a few months Laurie met Anthony and shortly after he became an intern at Summit Software. Now, Anthony is a programmer for Summit and has been a valuable asset, both personally and professionally since 2006.
Anthony graduated from Fresno City College with an A.A. in 2009; he is now enrolled at Fresno State to graduate in 2011 with his B.S. in Computer Science.
Anthony first started programming when he was only 12 years old, seeking to make a game for his Nintendo Game Boy. Despite early failures and difficulties, he kept working at it and is now a proficient programmer in several different languages including PHP, JavaScript, C++, Java, and others.
In Anthony's spare time, he enjoys working the sound system at his church as well as helping with many other activities for them.
Anthony's mother was right; he is a brilliant programmer and has a great future ahead of him.
Greg Goforth
Designer/Programmer
While looking for a PHP Programming class, Greg was referred to Summit by a local educational institution, Greg was interested in learning PHP but couldn't find the training he needed. Summit was moving their current and future applications to PHP, so this seemed to be a great opportunity for everyone. Greg interned for Summit for a few months, and then became an employee for a couple of years. Greg has a talent in database design and utilizing new web technologies to make attractive and interactive web applications.
We continue to have a great working relationship with Greg, you could call him a virtual designer and programmer, available when we have projects.
Tammy
Administrative Assistant
In 2008, Tammy graduated from El Diamante High School in Visalia and moved to Fresno to attend Fresno State. Her interest in technology led her to Summit where she began working as an administrative intern in September 2009.
Tammy has stayed busy assisting with administrative duties at Summit. She has also helped Summit's clients, including a few non profits, with document creation, mailings, and database maintenance.
Tammy is also very passionate about photography and takes pictures for lots of family events and friends. During her time with Summit, she has discovered additional talents of graphic and web design, this combined with her eye for detail has made her even more valuable for any organization. (The post-its were her idea!)
Beyond practical experience, she was surprised at how much she learned about the community after the short time spent working with non-profit organizations and claims that the experience has been very eye-opening.
